Making a better impression for democracy's sake

It was great to have parliament here- don't get me wrong .But anyone reading the signs ( low attendance , lots of knockers , kids heaRing that parliament is A joke when it is not ) parliament SHOULD BE CONCERENeD TO MAKE ANY DEMOnSTRATION OF ITS IMPORTaNCE A rEALly BIG PUBLICITY EVENT THAT SELLS.
PARLIAMENT and open CRITICISM IS CRITICAL TO OUR FUTURE AND both are At RISK -ESP IF WE DON'T SELL THE 2 IDEAs TO OUR CHILDREN -

key OPPORTUNITY WASTED i THOUGHT .

Colac- a great place

Do you know the difference between Yoghurt and Colac.? Yoghurt is the one with the living culture in it .Ha , but not true.

While many young people say that about there own country town, what makes so many locals regard Colac, as they put, "a dump"? The problem is not Colac's We blowins know it .
It is a great place to grow up and live - look also at the things we/you export
- some of the best football players in aust and the world ( great cartwheels at the world footy boys!: also baseball and cricket.
- the best icecream and yoghurt in aust
- people from all over the world come here and just right now at the square , give us a whole week of their time, enthusiasm and energy to mark the spirit of the men who gave our district a name for characters of endurance
- the place where NZ chose to export machinery from
- .....................Yours

i am writing this here because YESTERDAY in the space of 2hrs ,2 people who live here whom i didn't know and who have come here from somewhere else over a period of 15yrs said what a great place this is.
I am sure you have some more . How about telling us about it ---adding to the list . send a message to mreforce@telstra.com and we'll send you an invite to publish under your own "penname" .

Ag issues

Lambs was going to post a list of spuds commonly grown in the area so you could ask for them but he's been crook - been through the op and doing well. So Coming soon

Does anyone care that, not only are we losing our timber industry, but lots of good dairying country is going to trees.Shires are responding too late . This big switch idea is certainly keeping the price of dairy farms up - in the short term, encourgeing young farmers to get out while the going has never been so good. brilliant economic management might be the word for it - flash in the pan might be another ?
